Math Snippet Editor

Archimedes features a nifty tool called the Snippet Editor which allows you to typeset mathematical expressions without the overhead of a full Archimedes document. To get started, head to the Window menu > Snippet Editor.

Here, you can type mathematical expressions using LaTeX/TeX syntax. As you type, Archimedes will typeset your input.

Inserting LaTeX into Other Apps

Using the Copy Vector button, you can export the typeset math as a vector graphic. This can in turn by pasted into apps like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Apple Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and a lot more. The color well can be used to quickly change the foreground color of the output.
